Dans le cadre de sa programmation pour 2012 et avec le déplacement de sa roulotte dans le Quartier des Spectacles au printemps*, Dare-Dare est fier de lancer cet appel de dossier aux artistes d'ici et d'ailleurs.

Pour sa nouvelle programmation, DARE-DARE vous invite à soumettre vos projets pour les trois volets d'interventions que voici :

VOLET 1
Interventions dans l’espace public (installations, performances, scénarios d’infiltration, etc.) d’une durée de
quatre à six semaines en lien avec le contexte du Quartier des Spectacles. Vous êtes invités à vous inspirer des
mots clés présentés ci-bas.
DARE-DARE offre :
- un droit d'exposition
- un droit d'auteur
- un remboursement en matériaux de production
- une promotion du projet
- l'obtention des permis et autorisations nécessaires
VOLET 2 :
Projet de résidence/laboratoire d’une durée d’un ou deux mois en fonction de la provenance de l’artiste.
Recherche documentée, qui culmine avec une présentation de type conférence.
DARE-DARE offre :
- un studio dans une roulotte de construction
- des honoraires
- un remboursement en matériaux de production
- un per diem par jour
- l’hébergement (si l’artiste demeure à l’extérieur de Montréal)
- les frais de déplacements
- une promotion du projet
- l'obtention des permis et autorisations nécessaires
VOLET 3 :
Projet de poésie/écriture urbaine sur une enseigne mobile fournie par DARE-DARE. Proposition de courtes phrases (jusqu’à 15 mots).
DARE-DARE offre :
- un droit d'exposition
- un droit d'auteur
- une promotion du projet
- le prêt des matériaux nécessaires (lettres et enseigne mobile)

As part of the 2012 program and the spring relocation of the trailer to the Quartier des Spectacles,
DARE-DARE is proud to announce its call for proposals.
CONTEXT: With its mandate of Dis/location: projet d’articulation urbaine, DARE-DARE provides a framework
for research and the presentation of contextual and public art practices. Since 2004, the mandate has
provided an outlet for artistic interventions in the urban environment. This exploration of the urban territory
is manifested through successive moorings of socially and politically aligned projects within the City of
Montreal.
Mandate
DARE-DARE Centre de diffusion d’art multidisciplinaire de Montréal is a flexible and open artist-run center dedicated to research and
education. The Center supports and develops emergent artistic practices through the exploration and diversification of modes of
production, the presentation and the diffusion of artistic works and interventions.
DARE-DARE offers the following three fields of intervention for you to work with:
FIELD 1
Four to six week Interventions in Public Spaces (installations, performances, infiltration scenarios, etc.)
within the context of the Quartier des Spectacles. You are invited to draw inspiration from the keywords listed
below.
For your project DARE-DARE provides/secures:
- Exhibition fee
- Author’s rights
- Materials and production fee
- Promotion and organization of your project
- All necessary authorization and permits
FIELD 2
A one to two month Residency/Laboratory Project of Documented Research culminating in a conference style
presentation. The duration of this project will be determined in part by the artist's point or origin.
For your project DARE-DARE provides/secures:
- Studio space within a construction trailer
- Honorarium fee
- Materials and production fee
- Per diem per day
- Accommodation provided through DARE-DARE (for artists living outside Montreal)
- Promotion and organization of your project
- All necessary authorization and permits
FIELD 3
Urban Poetry/Writing Project. Four short phrases (max. 15 words each) displayed on a non-electronic mobile
sign.
For your project DARE-DARE provides/secures:
- Exhibition fee
- Author’s rights
- Project promotion and organization
- The mobile sign and related materials and equipment

The limits of the Quartier des Spectacles are within the streets of Sherbrooke to the north, Rene-Levesque to the south, City Councillors
to the west and Saint-Hubert to the east (please see map). The DARE-DARE trailer will be located on de Maisonneuve, between St.
Laurent and St. Dominique beside the entrance to the Saint Laurent métro station.
